Zoos Victoria is fighting extinction to secure a future rich in wildlife. In 2019 the Zoos Victoria’s Wildlife Conservation Master Plan 2019-2024 was launched.

The Queensland State of Environment report (SoE) provides comprehensive information on the extent and condition of Queensland’s environmental assets and pressures facing these assets. SoE is an online, interactive, data-driven web-based report based around five themes of Biodiversity, Heritage, Pollution, Climate and Human Settlements.

The Wetlands in the Great Barrier Reef Catchments Management Strategy 2016–21 sets a framework for the improved management of the wetlands of the Great Barrier Reef catchments. The strategy promotes an integrated approach to catchment management that considers the multiple values of wetlands in a whole-of-catchment context.

Catchment Stories development is driven by the need to have a collective understanding of how catchments work, a necessary requirement for understanding and protecting biodiversity.

The Land Restoration Fund aims to expand carbon farming in Queensland by supporting land-based projects that deliver clear environmental, social and economic co-benefits. Carbon farming refers to land management activities that avoid the release of greenhouse gases or increase the carbon stored in the land.

WetlandInfo is a first-stop-shop for wetland information in Queensland providing a range of interactive tools and resources to assist with the management of wetlands.

The Queensland Government has supported voluntary industry-led Best Management Practice (BMP) programs since 2012 to help increase the agricultural industry’s adoption of best practices in Reef catchments.

The wetland project search tool lists on-ground wetland related projects from a range of funding programs, stakeholder groups and land managers. The information is displayed on a user-friendly, web-based format embedded on the WetlandInfo platform. Projects are added to the tool on a regular basis.

The Marine Monitoring Program collects information and data, and reports on the condition of key ecological values in Western Australia’s marine parks and reserves, and the pressures on them.

The Return to 1616 program aims to restore the ecological condition of Western Australia’s largest island to that seen by Dirk Hartog when he landed on the island in 1616. The program includes feral animal eradication and the re-introduction of 12 mammal species and one bird species.
